Pilot Research Program
The Limb Preservation Foundation research grants are made possible by individual donors and the fund raising efforts of The Foundation. The purpose of The Limb Preservation Program is to support exceptional research projects that will help lead to better treatment protocols to save limbs in jeopardy.
Applications are reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Medical Advisory Committee of The Foundation.
Laboratory or clinical research will be considered for funding. Particular emphasis will be placed on support of independent junior investigators, postdoctoral, and research fellows (M.D., DVM, or Ph.D. certified).
Pilot studies which will become eligible for further funding through conventional support mechanisms will receive priority.
Scientists and clinicians of nonprofit research, medical service, and educational institutions are eligible to apply for grants. Educational institution applicants must have faculty status or a mentor with faculty status.
